Daniel Appiah-Adu is a gifted Ghanaian gospel musician whose ministry bridges Ghana and the United Kingdom through powerful worship and anointed music. Married with two children, Daniel balances his music ministry with his professional career, serving God with humility and excellence.
Early Life and Musical Foundation
Daniel’s passion for music began in his youth, greatly influenced by his father, Prophet P.B. Appiah-Adu (RTF) of The Church of Pentecost—a respected minister, composer, and musician. Growing up in a spiritually rich home, Daniel was inspired to use his voice for ministry. His father’s transfer to Koforidua connected him to Elder Kwasi Mireku, whose mentorship deepened Daniel’s love for gospel music.
Encouraged by Elder Adu at the Mataheko Assembly in Accra, Daniel overcame his early shyness and began singing in church. This marked the start of a ministry that continues to bless lives today.
Education and Musical Beginnings
While studying at Peki Teacher Training College, Daniel often sang during work sessions a gift that never went unnoticed. Using his first allowance, he recorded his debut album Awurade Aka Se Obehyira Yen with his sister Jane under the group name “Jane & Dan.” The album became a major success, propelling him into full-time music ministry.
Challenges, Growth, and Breakthroughs
Daniel’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. After parting ways with Jane, he faced several production setbacks, including an album mix-up that affected distribution. Yet, through prayer and persistence, he rose above these challenges, producing impactful songs such as Onyame Kokroko Ben Nie, Yesu Nnwuma So, and Wo Daso Ye Onyame.
He has collaborated with top gospel artists including Obaapa Christy on Aseda and Piesie Esther on This Is My Time, expanding his influence in both Ghana and the UK.
Achievements and Global Recognition
With 12 albums and 10 singles to his credit, Daniel has graced major gospel stages worldwide. In 2024, he was honored as UK Best Gospel Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards UK, after two consecutive years of nominations.
His ministry has also received recognition from the Church of Pentecost in Holland and across several international conventions.
