Apostle Solomon Oduro has recounted the shocking moment in 2013 when he heard on the radio that a man of God’s house was burning, without knowing that he was the man of God at the centre of the report.
Speaking on the Footprint TV Show, Apostle Oduro recalled that he was driving around Taifa on Easter Saturday when he heard the report on the radio that a man of God’s house was on fire.
A few minutes later, his phone started ringing repeatedly, and he discovered that the fire outbreak was at his own home.
He recalled the shock of receiving the news and the journey from Taifa to where the incident had occurred, saying he could hardly remember how he drove there.
The fire destroyed his belongings, leaving him and his family to start over. He explained that they subsequently stayed with the church for about four years before eventually moving into the home he described as a major testimony of restoration.
Reflecting on the experience, Apostle Oduro said the story reminded him that God is a God of restoration. He likened his experience to the biblical story of Job, noting that stories of restoration are not limited to the Bible but can also be seen in people’s lives today.
