Ghanaian gospel music minister Joe Mettle has announced his forthcoming album, The River (Vol. 1), a 13-track project scheduled for release this November.
Sharing the announcement on Instagram, the award-winning singer described the project as the result of several months of work that has been a life-changing encounter for him. He also expressed excitement about sharing the first part of the project with listeners.
The album draws inspiration from John 7:38, where Jesus speaks of rivers of living water flowing from within those who believe in Him. This scripture provides the central inspiration for the project, pointing to the presence and life of God flowing through believers.
The River (Vol. 1) will feature a diverse lineup of gospel ministers, including Rhema Onuoha, OnceMore Six, Prophet Edem Julius-Cudjoe, Rev. Edwin Dadson, Naa Mercy Sinclear, Efe Grace, HLE, Kiki Adjei, Enuonyam and Kweku Teye.
The collaboration brings together voices from different backgrounds, adding to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming release.
While Joe Mettle has confirmed November as the release period, the exact release date and full tracklist have not yet been made public. The project is associated with Reverb Studios GH, and further details are expected in the coming weeks.
With The River (Vol. 1), listeners can look forward to a new body of gospel music rooted in the biblical imagery of living water and the spiritual experience that inspired its creation.
