Old Trafford, the iconic home of Manchester United, took on a very different atmosphere on Saturday, September 26, as thousands of worshippers gathered for the 2026 NSPPD UK Prayer Conference led by Nigerian pastor and convener of New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), Pastor Jerry Eze.
The gathering, organised by Streams of Joy International, brought believers from across the United Kingdom and beyond together for hours of prayer, worship and declarations of faith. The event was free to attend, but advance registration was required because of limited capacity, and the official event listing was marked sold out.
With Old Trafford’s approximately 74,000-seat capacity providing the backdrop, the scale of the gathering made for a striking sight as sections of the famous football stadium were filled with worshippers rather than football fans. Reports from the event described thousands of believers participating in the prayer conference, with images showing a packed stadium atmosphere.
Pastor Jerry Eze, the lead pastor of Streams of Joy International and the voice behind the globally followed NSPPD prayer platform, led the gathering through intense moments of prayer and worship. Pastor Jerry Eze later took to social media to celebrate the outcome of the conference, describing it as a testimony of what God had done and calling on followers to declare, “Thank You Jesus.”
