Gospel minister and worship leader Eric Jeshrun has officially announced the return of August Worship, bringing back one of Ghana’s cherished worship gatherings after a five-year break.
The announcement was made during the August Worship Press Launch, where the vision behind this year’s event was shared with members of the media, ministry partners and invited guests.
Although this year’s gathering is the 11th edition, the August Worship journey spans 15 years, dating back to its inception in 2011.
Before launching August Worship, Eric Jeshrun founded Addicted To Christ, an outreach movement dedicated to reaching young people battling addictions ranging from drugs and alcohol to sexual immorality and other destructive lifestyles. Through the initiative, more than 200 young people committed their lives to Christ, laying the foundation for what would later become August Worship.
From 2011 to 2021, August Worship was held consistently, growing into a gathering known for passionate worship, sound teaching and life-changing encounters with God. Following the 2021 edition, Eric Jeshrun stepped away from the annual event as he focused on expanding his ministry internationally.
During the five-year period, he established branches of Faith Gatherings Worldwide in London and Canada, while continuing to release new music and strengthen the global reach of his ministry.
Now, he says, the time is right for August Worship to return.
This year’s celebration will be preceded by the Much Fruit Conference, scheduled to run from 23rd to 30th August, culminating in the grand August Worship experience on Sunday, 30th August 2026, at Cedar Mountain Chapel AG, Shiashie.
The event will feature anointed ministers including Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye Jnr, Petra Odubayo, Pastor Noble G, Team Eternity Ghana, alongside several other worship ministers.
Speaking at the launch, Eric Jeshrun described the return of August Worship as more than the revival of an event. It is a continuation of a vision that has impacted lives for over a decade and continues to call people into deeper intimacy with God.
As anticipation builds, believers from across Ghana and beyond are expected to gather once again for what promises to be a powerful atmosphere of worship, prayer and divine encounters.
